Styling hair for Essex Style Magazine

We had a great day styling the hair for the cover photo on the June issue of Essex Style Magazine,

Healthy Summer Hair!

Summer is rapidly approaching, (well we hope so!) and too much sunshine can leave your locks frazzled and your colour washed out!

Follow our top tips and you will be rocking beautiful beach waves rather than feeling dry, frizzy and fried!

Our hair can become easily frazzled on holiday and takes a battering from sun, sea and the added heat!

Wearing a hat to protect our hair is a great idea, although fashion may not always permit, and rinsing hair in fresh water before taking a dip in the pool can help lock out some of the chlorine!

Some products can be applied before sun exposure to create a barrier to help protect against colour fade and heat damage:

Redken’s Colour Extend SunSolar screen is a great product to apply to hair before sun exposure it has an added SPF 12 to protect against UVA/UVB rays!

TIGI’s SFactor Flat Iron Shine Spray not only protects from heated styling but the UV rays too!

After a day on the beach applying the following will re-hydrate your hair leaving it silky smooth:

Wella SP aftersun wash helps remove sunscreen, salt and chlorine from the hair and when accompanied with the conditioner and fluid to add moisture and create shine,

Kerastase soleil Masque UV Defence UV hair cream helps to nourish and put moisture back in to parched hair ideal after a long day sun bathing!

Enjoy the sunshine!

Healthy Happy Hair!
